If you run a windows computer you’ll know like many others than, after a while your system will in doubt start running slow. Most people will restart their computer to remove and idle processes. But if there’s a simpler way, why restart every time windows decides it doesn’t like you today?
1. Right click on an empty spot on your desktop and select New -> Shortcut.
2. Type: “%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks” in the box.

When installing Windows 7, you will always get asked what country you are from. Then, based on what you choose, Windows will give you wallpapers to suit your choice. If you choose United States, you will most likely get some scenic views such as the eye candy wallpaper displaying the national park and the outdoors treatment you can possibly find in the US. To those of you who often need to work and present your work with a laptop, you will find that the easy external view explained in this article pretty helpful. Moreover, there is a pretty good chance that you may have come across quite a few levels of difficulties configuring your laptop to work properly with external views. No matter whether you are trying to configure your laptop to work with a VGA, HDMI or DVI output, you may have always wished that things are a lot easier. Well, your wish is granted.
If the version of Windows you are running on your laptop is Windows 7, you only need to hit Windows key along with the P key. You will then be given 4 options which are computer only, duplicate, extend and projector only. In this case, you are least likely to choose computer only as you are about to use an external view.

System Restore feature that Microsoft has built into Windows 7 may be pretty effective indeed in keeping Windows safe from troubles. Yet, the bad news is that it takes up a lot of hard drive space. So, if you are not a typical PC user, you may prefer to deactivate this feature instead. However, if you are worried about possible crashes considering Windows 7 is still pretty new, you had better leave this feature active.
To deactivate System Restore function, you will have to open up Control Panel and navigate to System.

If you use a Windows operating system, such as Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista and Windows 7, chances are you have often noticed that there is a process called svchost.exe running in the background seemingly at all times. You can see running processes by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Esc altogether to bring up Windows Task Manager. It seems that DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) trigger the Service Host Process. Unfortunately, there is no limit to how many sessions of this particular process can run. As a result, it may often end up using 100% CPU resources and can even freeze the computer.

Although it may also happen on other versions of Windows, it seems that Windows 7 is the most vulnerable one to Error 43. This is the error Windows users receive when one of the devices attached to their system stops functioning properly, possibly due to driver issues. Unfortunately, it may also trigger other errors. However, it is of utmost importance to keep in mind that error code 43 mainly shows up due to some problems with the computer hardware.
For those of you who are not so familiar about driver, it is a program that is meant to control the corresponding hardware. Driver usually comes along with the hardware you buy. Without a driver, your computer hardware won’t be able to function properly. So, when Windows detects something that seems wrong with the hardware, it will raise error code 43.
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Microsoft had introduced a virtual machine feature, the XP Mode, when they released Windows 7 for the first time. With this feature, it is possible to run Windows XP under Windows 7. The system will act as if the XP operating system is accessed from another physical computer. This makes it possible for Windows 7 users to run older applications that may not be compatible with the latest version of Windows.

The blue screen error — also known as Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) — is pretty common on all versions of Windows, be it the oldest or even the newest one. This error can get really annoying. It can even block users from logging onto their Windows operating system. As a result, the system is seemingly impossible to use at all. But what PC users should keep in mind is that they are not the only people to experience this particular problem. As mentioned earlier, it has been pretty common and, fortunately, people have found out some workaround methods that may prove to be quite effective in solving the BSOD.

Security has gained more attention when it comes to Windows Vista/7. As a matter of fact, Microsoft seems to have developed both these versions of Windows with security in mind. One good example is by becoming the administrator of the Windows Vista/7 operating system.
An administrator normally has the privilege to block important or sensitive folders to keep them out of reach of irresponsible users. By blocking those folders, they will always ask for authentication whenever someone tries to access them. With that being said, users without the correct administrator password will never get to those secured folders.
